6-ply beech shells
Original Multi-Brilliant Silver finish.
Chrome hardware.
These sets are some of my favourites. Sonor were using beech shells before anyone else and they are criminally underrated.
This set is the later 6-ply beech rather than the earlier 3-ply beech which had structural issues, hence why Sonors of this era have such big tom mounts and internal supports.
As usual for a 'satin flame' finish, there is plenty of spider-webbing, cracking and scratches. I have stripped a similiar Sonor kit of one of these wraps but I still think it's still got life left in it!
Stripped and cleaned in my workshop November 2024.
See photos for condition.

This drum is in the best condition. I can’t find this outfit catalogued with a 12” so I wonder if it was a later addition and swapped with a 13”.
