Keystone badged.
Kick has very low serial #2694. Snare has no serial.
Legendary 3-ply shells with reinforcing hoops and interior coating.
Original nickel over brass hardware including single tension rods and claws, clamp on spurs, snare strainer, butt end internal snare dampener, hoops and tension rods.
Interesting this kit is between a ‘Spotlight’ and a ‘Hobby’ outfit. The ‘Spotlight’ outfit was a single tension 22x14” kick and a 14x5” ‘Pioneer’ snare and the ‘Hobby’ outfit was a 20x12” with a 13x3” ‘Jazz Combo’ snare so I have dubbed this outfit the ‘Hoblight’. The two drums came to me together, whether or not they left the factory together is another question, but they are from the similar era (1960-63).
The kick hoops are missing some inlay on both hoops. I have secured what is left and the missing bits are at the bottom of the drum.
Kick shows signs of use and wear with scuffs and tape marks. Snare is in much better condition but shows signs of wear.
Please see photos for condition.
Snare stand is not included.
Freshly cleaned in my workshop in January 2025.
Fitted with lightly used Remo Vintage Ambassador/Ambassador Hazy with brand new Puresound Custom Pro Steel wires with Coated Ambassador kick batter and original Ludwig reso head.
